About this list

Learning chess in Tbilisi usually means joining a chess school, and most of them teach children in groups sorted by level, often with their own age-group tournaments on the tournament server. Olympic Champion runs weekend groups at its branch on Ilia Vekua Street in Gldani and hosts national championships in the same hall. The Karseladze Chess School of the National Palace of Youth, on Rustaveli Avenue, teaches circle groups for ages five to seventeen, a stronger selective group and an adult group, and prints its monthly fees.

The Georgian Chess School in Didi Dighomi, Lazier's Gambit Chess School, the Chess Queen Academy on Giorgi Brtskinvale Street and Gvirgvini Chess School in Gldani are known mostly through their tournaments or a business directory. Davit Jojua's school names branches in Saburtalo and Varketili and teaches in Georgian, English and Russian; the Gagunashvili academy teaches children online. Projector School keeps a Wednesday children's club on Sairme Street, and ASB Georgia runs Saturday classes near Avlabari metro for Georgian and Ukrainian children.
