Karseladze Chess School, National Palace of Youth

Latest trace

Chess-results lists the school as organiser of rapid tournaments for young players held at the National Palace of Youth: the Vakhtangiana festival on 16 January 2025, the Reso Dadiani memorial on 28 May 2025, the Tigran Petrosian memorial on 18 June 2025 (with the Tbilisi Chess Federation) and the Palace Paiki tournaments for players under 6 and under 7 on 29 June 2026. The Palace's own site carries a chess school page for the 2026-2027 school year with monthly prices, and its registration page gives 4 September for online registration and 14 September as the start of teaching. The prices are 80 GEL a month for the circle groups (beginners to amateurs, ages 5 to 17), 150 GEL for the selective stronger group and 150 GEL for the adult group. Weekdays and times of the groups are not printed on the page. The chess school pages do not carry the Karseladze name; the name comes from the organiser field of the tournament listing. A business directory (undated) lists the school under the name of the Palace's Vakhtang Karseladze chess school, at 6 Rustaveli Avenue in the Mtatsminda district, which agrees with the Palace's address.
